Col Arthur J. L Fremantle, with the Southern side as ' the eyes and ears of Queen Victoria' wonderful perspective of the southern side; and he continued to welcome southerns in England for years to come.
Knowing the author
This was my son's first published book. In working with him I learned the ins and outs of self publishing, writing, and rewriting, and rewriting; but the reward of working with him has been 'priceless'. Interested visit amazon.com for a copy of this book

Books that Changed or made me.....
Book create us, making us think, and driving us to choose; Hobbies, entertainment, health issues, even jobs. They also connect us to others. Here are some books that are my connections.
Mother, sister, harper, child and other. I studied the Civil War, especially Gettysburg as a personal inrichment program. Harping is now a new learning project; to keep learning keeps your mind, body, and spirit growing and dynamic. Staying in touch with my family keeps me young at heart, and with all their ventures, occupations, hobbies, etc. I need to stay current with their interests to stay involved with them. Many things are not book oriented. My life is so much more hands on; so gardening, quilting, harping, keeping up with my kids, just keeps me going.
